Snacking After Hours Breakfast Make Fat
Based on research conducted by researchers from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, women who snack food in a potentially vulnerable time is overweight compared to women who did not eat at these hours.
The study, headed by Anne McTiernan reveals that women who have a healthy breakfast and do not snack after breakfast when the average decrease of 11% of their body weight compared with only 7% who voted for snacking snacks in the vulnerable period between hour after breakfast until late lunch.
The results presented in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association enrolled 123 women overweight and obesity between the ages of 50-75 years.
Participants take part in this study are intended to help them lose weight, test the effects of diet and exercise on breast cancer.
Researchers found 97% reported doing snacking snacks every day, of which only 19% of participants are snacking on at 10:30 to 11:30. Meanwhile, snack time is most often done 76% of participants is in the afternoon between the hours of 14:00 to 17:30.
Women are snacking in the morning more often tend to snack throughout the day. The results showed that 47.8% of women who reported a breakfast snack after hours of eating three or more snacks per day.
While 38.9% of women who eat a snack at night claim to only eat a snack that's all.
Actually, eating healthy snacks can help achieving their diets with reduced hunger.
"A lot of people think that the diet should mean always feel hungry. Our study shows that snacking can actually help with weight loss if not done too close to the other meals, especially if the snacks are healthy foods that can help you feel full without adding calories too much, "said McTiernan.
The researcher added that the zero-calorie snacks, such as sweetened drinks and potato chips were damaging impact on your weight loss plan.
