Smoking Cause sagging breasts
It is an astonishing claim from a plastic surgeon in the United States named Dr. Anthony Youn. Dr. Youn is a practitioner of Detroit, Michigan, quickly pointed this out, on his experience with patients who underwent removal of the breast to make them feel happier on the appearance of her breasts.
He says, nicotine and carbon monoxide which has been taken during smoking can impair blood flow to various parts of the body. This causes disruption of the healing process after surgery.
Toxins can act as a virtual tourniquet and effectively kill the body by stopping the blood.
"I cringe every time I see a patient carry out the removal of the breast, on the other hand he was also a smoker," says Dr. Youn, as reported by Dailymail, Sunday (10/12/2011).
"I was scared even though I had warned him not to smoke before or after surgery. The reason is, this can cause the nipples turn black and loose, I've seen that before," he said.
Dr. Young added that he had nursed a woman smoker who nipples changed color to purple after she smokes. That's because the smaller blood vessels so that blood flow in the breast becomes blocked. If not treated immediately, they can turn black and sagging.
"Then He must do the blood sucking leech therapy for the elderly for several days to restore the nipples become pink and healthy," he added.
Dr. Youn reveals, many bad things that can happen in women smokers, especially when they are required to undergo a cosmetic surgery.
"If you have a breast lift requirement while you smoke, your nipples can become black and loose," he added.
He pointed out, if you want liposuction and you smoke, you may get an infection that resulted in open wounds that will take three months to heal. Meanwhile, if you want to undergo a facelift and you are a smoker, your cheek skin will darken, peel, and leave scars fat.
As a result, the National Health Service (NHS) in England only apply cosmetic surgery such as removal of fat in the abdomen doubled or breast surgery on the NHS must be female nonsmokers. According to the NHS, research has shown that smokers have more problems with wound healing compared to nonsmokers.
"This means they may have to stay in hospital longer and may require treatment for recovery infection. The procedure may be more successful in those who do not smoke," lid NHS representatives.
